Turn Left Turn Right
May. 1st, 2018 11:53 pmI had a series of weird dreams this week that made me feel like sharing it here. Have you had ONE dream that connects to ANOTHER dream before? It sounds weird but this thing really happened to me for real. To be honest, after I woke up, everything was blur except that one face, a man's face that I kinda remember it vaguely. Then for a few days after that, I had another dream and when I woke up I realized the same man with the same face appeared again in my dream for the second time!! I was kinda dumbfounded when it happened twice. If I try to recall the man's face right now, I couldn't do it. But.. when I was dreaming, somehow I feel like I know him or maybe I have met him somewhere. I dunno.. it's just feel that way to me. It was so bizarre to the point that it became scary! (>_<)

After my head got clearer, I suddenly remember a movie called 'Turn Left Turn Right'. The main actor is Takeshi Kaneshiro & Gigi Leung.

In that movie, there's a poem that was quoted to highlight their story and the different angle of 'love at first sight' situation and your fated person. Here is the poem. Its title is 'Love At First Sight' written by Polish poet Wislawa Szymborska.
Both are convinced
In my case here, I kinda feel it is somehow related to my situation in which I could feel that I know a certain someone that I don't even know. The mystery man in my dream. It's not that I think the man appeared in my dream is someone who's fated for me anything let alone believing that those dreams really mean something or make any sense at all. I just want to shoo away the uneasiness feeling every time it pops into my mind. That way I feel less scary. I love this movie and I love this poem. It's not a cheesy love story bur rather a poetic storytelling.
Okay.. off for now. Never thought that I could write quite long over something personal like this. Probably, gonna watch Nino 'PPAP'ing again. Huhu...
I tried to clear my head by watching Nino 'PPAP'ing. Nino with that ridiculous outfit, and the way he's 'PPAP'ing, surely made me feel better. Haha.. That's officially my 'go-to happy booster' now. Thank you Nino.

Both are convinced
that a sudden surge of emotion bound them together.
Beautiful is such a certainty,
but uncertainty is more beautiful.
Because they didn't know each other earlier, they suppose that
nothing was happening between them.
What of the streets, stairways and corridors
where they could have passed each other long ago?
I'd like to ask them
whether they remember-- perhaps in a revolving door
ever being face to face?
an "excuse me" in a crowd
or a voice "wrong number" in the receiver.
But I know their answer:
no, they don't remember.
They'd be greatly astonished
to learn that for a long time
chance had been playing with them.
Not yet wholly ready
to transform into fate for them
it approached them, then backed off,
stood in their way
and, suppressing a giggle,
jumped to the side
There were signs, signals:
but what of it if they were illegible.
Perhaps three years ago,
or last Tuesday
did a certain leaflet fly
from shoulder to shoulder?
There was something lost and picked up.
Who knows but what it was a ball
in the bushes of childhood.
There were doorknobs and bells
on which earlier
touch piled on touch.
Bags beside each other in the luggage room.
Perhaps they had the same dream on a certain night,
suddenly erased after waking.
Every beginning
is but a continuation,
and the book of events
is never more than half open.
